Senado, iniurong sa June 11 ang pagbabasa ng articles of impeachment vs VP Sara

Iniurong ng Senado sa June 11, 2025 ang pagbabasa ng articles of impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Matatandaang ito ay unang naka-iskedyul sa darating na June 2.

Ayon kay Senate President Francis "Chiz" Escudero, iniurong ito upang bigyang-daan ang pagsasabatas ng priority bills bago matapos ang 19th Congress sa June 30.

Dahil dito, sinulatan na ng pangulo ng Senado si House Speaker Martin Romualdez nitong Huwebes, Mayo 29.

"With only six (6) session days before the sine die adjournment, it is imperative for the Senate and the House of Representatives to prioritize the passage of these measure, consistent also with the administration's thrust to align our government with the people's needs and expectations," ani Escudero.

"Accordingly, from the original schedule of June 2, 2025, the presentation of the Articles of Impeachment by the House of Representatives' prosecution panel is now set to four o' clock in the afternoon of June 11, 2025."
