Malungkot na ibinalita ng aktres na si Ara Davao ang pagpanaw ng amang si Ricky Davao, sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang Instagram post noong Biyernes, Mayo 2.
Muling nagluksa ang mundo ng showbiz sa pagpanaw ng batikang direktor at aktor, pagkatapos nina Asia's Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales, National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts at Superstar Nora Aunor, at OPM legend at tinaguriang original "Kilabot ng Kolehiyala" na si Hajji Alejandro.
Batay sa Instagram post ni Ara, namatay peacefully si Ricky dahil sa mga komplikasyong may kaugnayan sa sakit na cancer.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ricky Davao. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children and loved ones, after bravely facing complications related to cancer," aniya.

"For more than four decades, he dedicated his life to the craft of acting and directing. His remarkable body of work and award-winning performances have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire. Most of all he was a loving father, brother, son, and friend."

Matatandaang hindi pa nakaka-get over si Ara sa pagpanaw naman ng kaniyang lolang si Pilita. Si Pilita ay ina ng batikang aktres na si Jackie Lou Blanco, na dating misis naman ni Ricky.
Si Ara ay naging bahagi ng action-drama series na "FPJ's Batang Quiapo."
