"President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared a period of National Mourning following the passing of Pope Francis, effective immediately until the day of his burial."
"Pope Francis, the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, was a symbol of humility, compassion, and peace. His deep connection with the Filipino people was most felt during his Apostolic Visit in 2015, where he stood in solidarity with victims of Typhoon Yolanda."
"During this period, the Philippine flag shall be flown at half-mast on all government buildings and installations in the country and abroad."
"We join the world in mourning a leader of faith, love and humanity," mababasa pa.
