Pumalag si House Speaker Martin Romualdez laban sa mga umano’y namemeke ng kaniyang social media accounts upang siraan lamang siya at ang gobyerno.
Sa opisyal na pahayag na inilabas ng House Speaker, tahasan niyang sinabi na wala umanong koneksyon sa kaniya ang mga pekeng social media accounts na gumagamit ng kaniyang pangalan.
“It has come to my attention that fraudulent social media accounts are impersonating me and using my name and position to communicate with unsuspecting individuals. These fake accounts are not mine and I categorically deny any association with them,” ani Romualdez.
Iginiit din niya na pawang ang intensyon lamang ng mga pekeng account ay upang magpakalat ng mga maling impormasyon upang siraan aniya ang gobyerno.

“The creators of these bogus profiles have only one intent: to deceive, manipulate, and possibly defraud the public. Such malicious activities undermine the trust and integrity of public discourse and may even be used for scams or illicit transactions. I take this matter seriously and will not tolerate any attempt to misrepresent me for personal or political gain,” anang House Speaker.
Nilinaw din ni Romualdez na nakikipag-ugnayan na raw siya sa mga eksperto upang mapanagot ang mga umano’y impostor na gumagamit sa kaniya sa social media.
“Rest assured, I am working with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement agencies to take necessary actions against these impostors,” saad ni Romualdez.
