Kinasuhan ng two counts of cyberlibel sa Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) ang direktor na si Darryl Yap dahil sa pelikula niyang "The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma."

Batay sa tatlong pahinang dokumento mula sa Muntinlupa RTC, na may petsang Marso 17,  nakitaan ng ebidensya upang managot umano si Yap ng "two counts of Libel under Arts. 353 and 355 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, in relation to Sec. 4 (c) (4) of R.A. (Republic Act) 10175, otherwise known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.”

Dahil ito sa paglalabas ng direktor ng teaser ng naturang pelikula kung saan tahasang binanggit ang pangalan ni Vic na bilang “nang-rape” umano kay Pepsi Paloma.

“Thus, attributing or ascribing to the latter the commission of the crime against deceased actress Pepsi Paloma, or that said complainant was a rapist,thereby exposing the latter to public contempt, hatred, dishonor or ridicule or causing the latter’s reputation to be tarnished, to the damage and prejudice of said Marvic ‘Vic’ Sotto y Castelo," saad ng city prosecutor.

Samantala, may nirerekomendang piyansa ang piskalya sa bawat bilang ay nagkakahalagang P10,000. 

Habang isinusulat ito, wala pang pahayag si Yap hinggil sa kaniyang kaso.
