Sinagot ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. ang tanong kung "political persecution" lamang at dahil sa 2028 elections ang pagkakaaresto ng International Criminal Court (ICC) kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, sa pamamagitan ng press conference Martes ng gabi, Marso 11, sa Kalayaan Hall, Malacañang Palace.

Nangyari ito ilang minuto ng paglipad ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte patungong The Hague, Netherlands.

Binasa ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Jay Ruiz ang tanong kay PBBM kung ito raw ba ay "political persecution" lamang.

"I'm sure sasabihin nila 'yan, but this case started in 2017, when we were still members of the ICC, and it was during the time of former President Duterte," anang pangulo.
