Matatandaang sa pagpasok ng Disyembre ay nalagay sa kontrobersiya si Maris matapos isiwalat ng ex-girlfriend ng kaniyang katambal na si Anthony Jennings ang umano'y "landian" nilang dalawa sa pamamagitan ng screenshots ng kanilang mga pag-uusap sa chat.
