Iginiit ni Akbayan Rep. Perci Cendaña na nararapat lamang umanong patalsikin sa puwesto si Vice President Sara Duterte, ito’y matapos niyang iendorso ang impeachment complaint sa Kamara na inihain ng iba’t ibang civil society leaders ng bansa.
“Today, I formally endorse the first-ever and historic impeachment complaint filed by our citizens against Vice President Sara Duterte,” ani Cendaña sa isang pahayag nitong Lunes, Disyembre 2.
“This moment marks a critical juncture in our nation's demand for accountability. I stand in full support of the brave citizens calling for Duterte to answer for her blatant violations of the Constitution, egregious corruption, and complicity in mass murder.”
Ayon pa sa mambabatas, isang bise presidente raw na “ethical, accountable, at committed sa public service” ang nararapat para sa mga Pilipino, hindi umano ang tulad ni Duterte.

“Panahon na para isara ng taumbayan ang bangunot na dulot ni Sara. Vice President Duterte deserves to be impeached for her abuse of power and plunder of the nation’s coffers. The Filipino people deserve a vice president who is ethical, accountable, and committed to public service—not one who weaponises authority for personal gain,” giit ni Cendaña.
“The effort to hold Sara Duterte accountable is inseparable from the broader campaign to make her father and their allies answer for their high crimes. The Duterte regime’s bloody war on drugs claimed tens of thousands of lives, leaving behind a trail of grieving families demanding justice, closure, and healing. Such closure remains elusive while the perpetrators of these atrocities continue to evade accountability and cling to power,” saad pa niya.
Samantala, binanggit din ni Cendaña na unang hakbang umano ang impeachment ng bise presidente upang mapanagot daw ang mga Duterte kaugnay ng mga alegasyong kanilang kinasasangkutan.
“Our country must not allow the Duterte family’s legacy of corruption and mass murder to persist unchallenged. The entrenched culture of impunity and graft will only be dismantled when those who perpetuate and profit from it are held to account. This impeachment complaint is but a first step. It must inspire and pave the way for further efforts to bring the Dutertes and their allies before the altar of justice.”
“We must demand a future free from the shadows of corruption and abuse—a future where power is wielded responsibly and in service of the Filipino people,” saad ni Cendaña.
Nito lamang Lunes ng hapon nang magtungo si Cendaña at civil society leaders sa House of Representatives upang ihain ang kanilang impeachment complaint laban kay Duterte.
