Ipinahayag ni Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos na sana raw ay magkaroon ng “peace of mind” at “mental clarity” si Vice President Sara Duterte matapos ang mga naging patutsada nito laban sa kaniyang amang si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Sa isang pahayag nitong Martes, Oktubre 22, kinondena ni Sandro ang mga patutsada ni Duterte sa isang press conference noong Biyernes, Oktubre 18, partikular na ang tungkol sa sinabi ng bise presidente na ginusto niyang pugutan ng ulo si PBBM at nagbanta umanong itapon ang mga labi ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr. sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Sa nasabing pahayag ay hiniling din ni Sandro ang kaayusan ni Duterte dahil ang katagumpayan daw nito ay tagumpay rin ng buong bansa.
“Let this be an opportune time to remind ourselves that we mustn't take our mental health for granted and that above all else I sincerely hope she is okay. As such, I still wish the Vice President well,” ani Sandro.
“Ultimately, her success, like the President's, will be the success of our nation as a whole. May she find the peace of mind and mental clarity that seems to be eluding her,” saad pa niya.
Matatandaang naging magkakampi sina PBBM at VP Duterte noong 2022 national elections sa ilalim ng ticket ng UniTeam.
Ngunit muling naging usap-usapan kamakailan ang pagkabuwag ng tandem ng dalawang pinakamataas na opisyal sa bansa matapos humingi ng tawad ni Duterte dahil dahil nakiusap siyang iboto si PBBM noong tumatakbo pa lamang ito bilang pangulo ng bansa.

Kaugnay nito, sa naturang press conference noong Oktubre 18 ay iginiit ni Duterte na hindi umano marunong maging presidente si Marcos, at mayroon daw siyang listahan ng limang “impeachable offenses” nito.
