Matapos linawin ni Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, isa sa mga legal counsel ni Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, na kusang sumuko umano ang kliyente, sinabihan niyang "epal to the highest level" si Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Benhur Abalos dahil sa pagkuha umano nito ng "credit" sa "non-existent" arrest.
Matatandaang sinabi ni Abalos na "nahuli" na si Pastor Quiboloy, sa kaniyang dalawang Facebook post nitong Linggo ng gabi, Setyembre 8.

Sa isang pahayag, tinawag na "epal to the highest level" ni Atty. Topacio si DILG Sec. Abalos.

"Good Evening. Based on reliable information, our client, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, voluntarily surrendered to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), specifically the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces, or ISAFP," ani Topacio.
Patutsada niya, "He was not arrested, especially not by the Philippine National Police (PNP) under the DILG. Therefore, it is epal to the highest level for Sec. Abalos to be seemingly taking credit for non-existent arrest."
"As usual, Pastor Quiboloy's legal team shall continue to protect his rights under the Constitution and the laws as we prepare for this defense," dagdag pa ng abogado ni Quiboloy.
Matatandaan din na sinabi ng PNP binigyan umano nila si Quiboloy ng 24 na oras para sumuko matapos umano nila matunton ang kinaroroonan nito sa loob ng 30-hectare KOJC compound.
Samantala, sa isang press briefing ay sinabi ni PNP spokesperson Jean Fajardo na nasa custodial facility na sa Camp Crame sa Quezon City si Quiboloy.
Wala pang tugon, reaksiyon, o pahayag si Abalos tungkol pahayag ni Topacio.
