Nakatanggap ng batikos ang Technological University of the Philippines-Manila (TUP) dahil sa pagpapatupad nila ng istriktong polisiya kaugnay sa buhok at pananamit ng mga estudyante.
Sa Facebook post ng TUP-Manila University School Government (TUP USG Manila) nitong Linggo, Agosto 18, sinabi ng Office of Student Affairs na ipagbabawal na umano nila ang mga sumusunod sa loob ng unibersidad:
* Wearing of shorts, crop top, sleeveless, slippers
* Long hair for male
* Colored hair both for male and female
* Cross-dress
“Graduating Students are excluded from the indicated strict policy. Please be guided. Thank you!,” pasubali nila.
Umani ng samu’t saring reaksiyon mula sa mga netizen ang nasabing post. Narito ang ilan sa kanilang mga komento:

"One time, my pinoy nephew from NZ got highlights from David’s Salon. His stylist asked ‘does your school allow this? He just said ‘yeah?’ In NZ, they are blonde, asian hair you name it. You can have any colour you want. He did not explain further. Just goes to show how backwards our schools are for still focusing on such mundane things such as color of hair??!?"
