Nagbabala si House Speaker Martin Romualdez laban sa mga scammer na nagpapanggap umano bilang siya.

Sa isang pahayag nitong Sabado, Mayo 4, sinabi ng opisina ni Romualdez na nakatanggap sila ng impormasyon na may mga indibidwal na nagpapanggap na siya para makapanloko.

"We have been made aware of fraudulent activities conducted by individuals who are impersonating Speaker Martin Romualdez. These scammers are reaching out to his friends, acquaintances, and the public through phone messages, falsely claiming to represent Speaker Romualdez,” nakasaad sa pahayag.

"These fraudulent schemes involve the impersonation of Speaker Romualdez, with scammers typically requesting money under the pretense of urgency confidentiality," dagdag pa.

Kaugnay nito, binigyang-diin ng opisina ni Romualdez na nakikipag-ugnayan na sila sa mga law enforcement agency upang mapanagot ang may-sala.

"The office of Speaker Martin Romualdez strongly condemns these fraudulent practices and is collaborating with law enforcement agencies to identify and prosecute the perpetrators," anang opisina ni Romualdez.

"We remain committed to safeguarding the public and maintaining the integrity of our office," dagdag pa nito.
