Tuluyan nang narekober ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang full access nito sa kanilang Facebook page.

Sa Facebook post ng PCG, dakong 5:45 ng madaling araw ng Pebrero 29, naibalik na ng Coast Guard Public Affairs Service (CGPAS) ang access nito sa official Facebook page ng ahensya.

Ipinaliwanag ni PCG Spokesperson, CG Rear Admiral Armando Balilo, nagtulungan ang Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center - CICC sa ilalim ng Department of Information and Communications Technology - DICT,, PCG Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information Systems Command at CGPAS sa pagsasagawa ng backend operations kaya natuklasan ang tatlong hacker na may Facebook name na "Fatima Hasan", "Murat Kansu", at Vicky Bates."

Kinumpirma rin ng CICC na gumamit ang mga hacker ng malware upang makapasok sa security page ng Facebook ng PCG nitong Pebrero 26.

"Tomorrow, 01 March 2024, the CICC will conduct a comprehensive hardware check on all office laptops and computers CGPAS personnel use to access their official social media platforms to remove remaining traces of malware, if any, and strengthen its overall cybersecurity against potential breaches," ayon sa abiso ng PCG nitong Huwebes.
