Binigyang-pugay ni Vice President Sara Duterte nitong Huwebes, Enero 25, ang 44 na miyembro ng Philippine National Police Special Action Force (SAF), na nasawi sa karumal-dumal na sagupaan sa Mamasapano noong 2015.

“Today, we take a moment of solemn reflection to honor the tremendous sacrifices made in our unwavering quest for peace. On this significant day, we pay tribute to the memory of the 44 courageous members of the [SAF], who fearlessly prioritized duty and freedom above all else,” mensahe ni Duterte nitong Huwebes, Enero 25.

“Their enduring legacy is one characterized by unparalleled dedication, selflessness, and an unwavering love for our cherished nation and its people. We are forever indebted to these heroes, who made the ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of a brighter future,” dagdag niya.

Hinikayat din ng bise presidente ang mga Pilipinong magkaisa hindi lamang para alalahanin ang kagitingan ng bawat miyembro ng SAF 44, kundi upang parangalan ang kanilang mga naiwang pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay.

“Though their victory was bittersweet, it ignited within us a flame of determination to forge more dignified paths towards sustainable peace,” ani Duterte.

“Our hearts extend a salute to the Fallen 44 and all our esteemed police forces. We shall forever draw inspiration from the sacrifices you made to safeguard the honor and liberty of our nation, shielding our fellow Filipinos from the threats and consequences of terrorism.”

Ayon pa kay Duterte, dapat lamang daw na tularan ng bawat Pilipino ang kabayanihang ipinakita ng SAF 44 para sa bansa.

“As we move forward, we carry with us the indelible acts of bravery etched in the annals of our history. Their gallantry serves as a true benchmark of heroism for every Filipino to emulate,” saad ng bise presidente.

“We pledge to never forget. Together, we march onward, united by the spirit of resilience, unwavering in our pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous Philippines,” dagdag pa niya.
