Kinumpirma ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) nitong Biyernes, Oktubre 13, ang pagkasawi ng isa pang Pilipino sa gitna ng giyera sa pagitan ng Israel at militant group na Hamas.

Sa isang Palace press briefing, ibinahagi ni DFA Undersecretary Eduardo Jose de Vega na ang ikatlong Filipino casualty ay isang 49-anyos na babaeng caregiver mula sa Negros Occidental.

Kabilang umano ang naturang caregiver sa mga dumalo sa isang music festival sa southern Israel, kung saan marami ang pinatay at hinostage ng Hamas.

“Her family is aware, the President is aware. The Philippine government with the family. The Embassy in Israel is in touched with the sisters who are in Kuwait for the repatriation of remains,” ani de Vera.

“We join the nation in extending our deepest sympathies to the relatives of the latest casualty,” saad pa niya.

Matatandaang noong Miyerkules, Oktubre 11 nang kumpirmahin ni Manalo ang pagkasawi ng dalawang Pilipino sa Israel.

Samantala, inihayag ni de Vera nito ring Biyernes na tatlong mga Pinoy pa ang naitalang nawawala, ngunit naniniwala umano silang mahahanap ang mga ito.

“It doesn’t mean that there is no hope, because as we said before there was a lot more missing a week ago. Ngayon paunti nang paunti. So possibly, these three will show up. We hope,” saad ni de Vera.
