Minamadali na ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang paggawa ng license plates upang mabigyang solusyon ang backlog para sa mga four-wheel vehicle at motorsiklo.

Sa pahayag ni LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II, nasa 15.9 milyong metal plates ang in-order ng ahensya at isang milyon na nito ang naipadala na sa kanila para sa embossing o paglalagay ng disenyo.
“We already have machines that will be used in the embossing of the license plates and we will start the full production this October,” aniya.
Kayang-kayang aniya ng mga nasabing makina na makagawa ng 42,000 plaka kada araw.
“It will take over two years to finish the entire 13 million backlog but while we are doing that, we would be able to cater the current usage of plates by October this year. The goal is to release the license plate for all the newly-bought motorcycles so that they would not be included in the backlog,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
