Ipinakilala ng GMA Network ang pinakaunang Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated sportscasters ng Pilipinas na nakatakda na umanong magbalita sa pagsisimula ng National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 99 sa darating na Linggo, Setyembre 24.

Sa ulat ng GMA nitong Sabado, Setyembre 23, ang paglulunsad ng naturang AI sportscasters ay nangyari umano sa pamamagitan ng kolaborasyon ng GMA Integrated News (GMAIN), GMA New Media Inc. (NMI), at GMA Synergy.

“Named Maia and Marco, the newest Kapuso AI sportscasters are set to bring the biggest news on NCAA Season 99 as well as updates on local and international sports featuring Filipino athletes on the social media platforms of GMAIN, GMA Sports, and GMA Synergy,” anang GMA.

Pareho umanong nabuo sina “Maia” at “Marco” ng artificial intelligence gamit ang Image Generation, Text-to-Speech AI Voice Synthesis/Generation, at Deep Learning Face Animation Technology.

Ayon kay Senior Vice President and Head of Integrated News, Regional TV, at Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, ang unang AI sportscasters ng GMA Integrated News ay maituturing umanong isang “groundbreaking initiative” at nagpapakita ng kanilang commitment para sa inobasyon sa pamamahayag.

“The introduction of the first AI sportscasters by GMA Integrated News is a groundbreaking initiative that significantly impacts our objective of 'Mas malaking misyon, mas malawak na paglilingkod sa bayan.’It aligns with our mission to serve all communities within the nation and promote inclusivity in our reporting,” ani Amoroso.
