Usap-usapan ang beauty contest na "The Miss Philippines" dahil wala silang swimsuit competition, bilang progresibong hakbang daw sa mga nakasanayang itinatampok sa beauty pageants.

Makikita sa cover photo ng kanilang Facebook page noong Agosto 29 ang kanilang tagline na "Pageantry Reinvented."

Paliwanag ng organisasyon, hindi sa tutol sila sa swimsuit competition, subalit nais lamang daw nilang mas magbigay ng pokus sa ibang bagay, higit pa sa vital statistics ng isang babae.

Bukod sa swimsuit competition, kakaiba rin ang kanilang evening gown competition na tinawag nilang "Glam Red Carpet." Ito raw ay kauna-unahang gagawin sa isang Philippine pageantry.
