Handa nang tumulong ang quick response team ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa mga local government unit (LGU) sa gitna ng pag-aalburoto ng Mayon Volcano.
Ito ang pahayag ni DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan nitong Huwebes kasunod na rin ng pahayag ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) na lalo pang tumindi ang volcanic activity ng Mayon sa nakalipas na 24 oras.
Kabilang sa mga naka-standby ang mga Disaster and Incident Management Team (DIMT) ng DPWH-Regional Office 5, gayundin ang District Engineering offices nito sa nasabing rehiyon.
"As with all emergencies and calamities, DPWH quick response teams shall monitor the status of national roads and bridges and ensure access of roads for unhampered delivery of goods and services as well as response operations," ayon pa sa opisyal.
