Itinakda na ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa Hunyo 5 ang pagtanggap ng aplikasyon para sa gun ban exemption kaugnay sa Barangay, Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) sa Oktubre ngayong taon.

Ito ang nakapaloob sa Comelec Resolution 10918 na isinapubliko nitong Sabado kung saan binabanggit na dapat maiharap online ang aplikasyon sa Committee on the Ban on Firearms and Security Concerns (CBFSC).

Ang pagtanggap ng aplikasyon sa pagkuha ng Certificate of Authority ay simula Hunyo 5 hanggang Nobyembre 15.

“Filing of applications shall be made through electronic means taking advantage of the current information technology advancements, adopting the principle of efficient government service delivery, addressing the geo-logistical challenges in some regions, and for mutual safety under the new normal,” ayon sa Comelec.

Isasagawa ang paghahain ng aplikasyon sa pamamagitan ngwebsite ng Comelec nawww.comelec.gov.ph.

"The President, Vice President, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Senate President; all incumbent senators; House of Representatives Speaker; all members of the House; and all justices of the SC, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, and Court of Tax Appeals are exempted from the ban," banggit ng Comelec.

Binibigyan naman ng automatic exemption angCabinet Secretaries, Undersecretaries, at Assistant Secretaries, lahat ng Election Officer, Provincial Election Supervisors, at Regional Election Directors.
