Makikinabang ang 20,000 residenteng naapektuhan ng oil spill sa Mindoro sa ₱110 milyong livelihood at emergency employment assistance na inilaan ng pamahalaan.
Ipinaliwanag ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) nitong Lunes na ang pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga residente ay idadaan sa iba pang ahensya ng pamahalaan na kinabibilangan ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Tourism (DOT), at provincial government.
"Under the agreement, some 19,892 beneficiaries in affected areas will receive₱110 million worth of emergency employment and livelihood assistance through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) of the DOLE to be distributed as follows: Pola –₱5,065,875; Naujan –₱9,143,103; Mansalay –₱11,051,103; Pinamalayan -₱17,886,147; Bansud –₱7,787,673; Bulalacao –₱13,355,514; Gloria –₱8,207,055; Bongabong –₱7,782,042; Roxas -₱7,748,256; San Teodoro –₱344,835; and Calapan City –₱19,840,932," ayon sa pahayag ng DOLE.
"Upon identification of affected tourism workers in coordination with the local government units, the DOT will commence capacity development training programs for qualified beneficiaries on culinary/food tourism; farm tourism; tourism micro retail; and health and wellness tourism, among others," anang DOLE.

Kaugnay nito, magbibigay naman ang TESDA ng NC II skills training saconstruction; agriculture; tourism; automotive; at iba pang sektor, gayundin sa livelihood training program sa pamamagitan ng mga training center nito atregistered mobile programs.
“While DOLE provides temporary aid to disadvantaged or displaced workers under the TUPAD Program, the department still strives to bring more sustainable and inclusive assistance to the affected individuals and families,” dagdag pa ng ahensya.
