Ipinahayag ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) nitong Biyernes, Marso 24, na hindi na-coordinate ng Gulod National High School – Mamatid Extension sa Cabuyao Fire Station ang isinagawang fire drill na siyang nagdulot ng pagkaospital ng mahigit 100 estudyante dahil sa init ng panahon.
Sa tala Cabuyao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), tinatayang 104 estudyante ang naospital sa nasabing eskwelahan matapos silang mahilo at/o mahimatay sa init.

“Cabuyao fire station was only informed about the drill when a call for an emergency assistance to the school was received by the station after the student were already collapsing,” pahayag ng BFP.
Catanduanes, niyanig ng magnitude 6.1 na lindol
Inabisuhan naman ng BFP ang publiko na isagawa ang fire drills sa umaga upang maiwasan umano ang init.
“We would like to call upon the public and all our valued partner stakeholders to coordinate with your local fire stations in organizing fire safety activities such as drills and simulations in order to ensure the safety of the participants and the general public,” saad ng BFP.
