Masayang masaya umano ang TV host na si Vhong Navarro sa pagbasura ng Supreme Court sa mga kasong rape at acts of lasciviousness na inihain ng model na si Deniece Cornejo laban sa kaniya.
“He is very happy about the decision of the Supreme Court,” pagbabahagi ni Alma Mallonga, ang lead counsel ni Navarro, sa Manila Bulletin.
Sa inilabas na desisyon ng Third Division ng Korte Suprema, ipinawalang-sala ang aktor mula sa mga nasabing kaso dahil umano sa “lack of probable cause.”

"We are happy with the grant of our petition. It’s very clear on the basis of the decision when it granted our petition that there was no basis actually because there was no grave abuse of discretion on the part of the Department of Justice in dismissing the complaints of Cornejo," saad pa ni Mallonga.
She said they are studying the Supreme Court decision on what actions to take.
Naging masaya rin umano ang tumulong din may Navarro na si Atty. Mariglen Abraham-Garduque sa naging desisyon ng SC.
“As the lawyer who helped Vhong in the petition for bail, I am very happy for this decision of Supreme Court dismissing the informations for rape and acts of lasciviousness filed against Vhong. I am very happy for Vhong also. At least now everything will be put into rest. His liberty shall be considered permanent and not temporary anymore,” aniya.
Matatandaang umusbong ang mga nasabing kaso noong 2014 matapos kasuhan ni Cornejo si Vhong ng attempted rape dahil umano nangyari sa kaniyang condominium unit sa Taguig.
