Inilabas ng 5th Division ng anti-graft court ang desisyon nitong Martes.

Bukod sa dating Pangulo, inabsuwelto rin ang dating Unang Ginang na si Imelda Marcos at iba pang akusado na sinaPeter Sabido, Luis Yulo, Nicolas Dehesa, Rafael Sison, at Don M. Ferry.

Nag-ugat ang kasong isinampa pa noong 1987 nang kumuha umano ng napakalaking loan sa Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) ang mga akusado gamit ang kanilang kumpanyang Philippine Integrated Meat Company (PIMECO) at Lianga Bay Logging Co. (LBLCI) at Yulo King Ranch (YKR) Corporation.

Sa akusasyon ng Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG), nagkamal umano ng kayamanan ang mga akusado sa pamamagitan ngshares of stocks sa PIMECO,LBLCI,at YKR.

"The PCGG’s case hinged on the testimony of Rolando Gapud, then financial advisor of the former president, who said that the companies were indeed held by Yulo for Marcos. However, Gapud failed to take the witness stand, therefore making his affidavits “hearsay evidence,” ayon sa korte.

“The totality of evidence against above-named defendants failed to show the alleged schemes and strategies employed by herein defendants to hide supposed ill-gotten wealth.Furthermore, there was no evidence presented establishing the relation of trust or close association of the defendants to the former President or any member of his family. Hence, the evidence presented was not sufficient to prove the plaintiff’s allegation that the subject properties were ill-gotten,” dagdag pa ng hukuman.
