Tatlong lugar sa northern Luzon ang isinailalim sa Signal No. 1 bunsod ng bagyong Obet.
Sa weather bulletin ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), apektado ng bagyo ang Batanes, Babuyan Islands, at northeastern portion ng mainland Cagayan (Santa Ana at Gonzaga).
Huling namataan ang bagyo 805 kilometro silangan ng dulong northern Luzon taglay ang hanging 45 kilometer per hour (kph) malapit sa gitna at bugsong hanggang 55 kph.
"The highest possible wind signal that may be hoisted during the passage of 'Obet' is Wind Signal No. 2," pahayag ng PAGASA nitong Huwebes.
Sa pagtaya ng PAGASA, posibleng makaranas ng matinding pag-ulan sa Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, at sa northern portion ng mainland Cagayan sa Biyernes hanggang Sabado.
Makararanas naman ng paminsan-minsang pag-ulan saBatanes, northern portion ng Ilocos Sur, Abra, Kalinga, at sa natitirang bahagi ng mainland Cagayan.
"Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps and in localities with significant antecedent rainfall.Prior to the arrival of tropical cyclone rainfall, the shear line may bring at times heavy rains over Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte in the next 24 hours," banggit ng ahensya.
Posible ring tahakin ng bagyo ang dulong northern Luzon onorthern portion ng mainland northern Luzon sa pagitan ng Biyernes ng gabi at Sabado ng umaga, ayon pa sa PAGASA.
