Nahawaan ng coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) ang aabot sa 15 na medical students sa Davao City, ayon sa pahayag ng City Health Office (CHO) nitong Miyerkules.
"These are seemingly asymptomatic to mild cases so they are not required hospitalization. And most of them ay mag-undergo lang of seven days of isolation in their homes or quarantining, then after that, they can go back to class,” banggit ni CHO head Dr. Ashley Lopez.
Aniya, ang mga nasabing estudyante na mula sa iba't ibang medical school sa lungsod ay nauna nang inatasang isinailalim muna sa RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction) test kamakailan bago payagang dumalo sa face-to-face classes.
"So far, we are not considering something like that (face-to-face classes suspension), because although we still have cases of Covid-19, they are not that many. We can now efficiently manage in the event of more infections,” ani Lopez.

Kaugnay nito, nanawagan din ito sa mga estudyante na magpabakuna kahit hindi sila inoobliga ng gobyerno na gawin ito upang malabanan ang Covid-19.
Umapela rin si Lopez sa publiko na sundin pa rin ang safety and health protocols upang hindi na kumalat ng sakit.
