Isa na ngayong executive committee member ng Binibining Pilipinas si Miss International 2005 Lara Quigaman, bagay na ipinagmamalaki niyang bunga ng kaniyang pagpupursige at pananalig sa Diyos.
Sa isang Instagram post, binalikan ng ikaapat na Pinay Miss International titleholder ang kaniyang journey mula nang una siyang sumabak sa Binibining Pilipinas noong 2001.
“I was 18 when I first joined Bb Pilipinas in 2001, I could have won if I was more ready I guess or of the judges then liked me enough to give me a crown- but I did not even make it to the top 10.
“I came back in 2005, prepared, determined and confident. I could have been chosen to compete in Miss Universe or Miss World, but I was crowned Bb Pilipinas International and competed in Tokyo, Japan.

“There wasn't a mistake when I lost in 2001, I wasn't ready. There wasn't a mistake when I won Bb Pilipinas International instead of the other titles when I came back in 2005 because I brought the Miss International crown home that same year.
“Everything that happened, God allowed it to happen. The losses, the victories, the heartbreak, the celebrations and the challenges. It all happened for a reason. Isang paglilinaw din mula kay Lara ang ipinunto niya sa Instagram post kaugnay ng pinag-usapang coronation night ng Binibining Pilipinas, madaling araw ng Lunes.
“Again- NOTHING HAPPENS BY MISTAKE. There were no mistakes. Our New Bb. Pilipinas Queens are worthy, deserving and are the rightful winners of their respective titles who I know and believe in my heart will make the Philippines proud,” aniya.
