"We are shocked and saddened by the events at the Ateneo graduation today. We mourn with the bereaved, the wounded, and those whose scars from this experience will run deep," saad ni PBBM sa kaniyang Facebook post nitong Linggo.

"We commit our law enforcement agencies to thoroughly and swiftly investigate these killings and bring all involved to justice," dagdag pa niya.

"Our prayers go to the graduates, their families, the Ateneo community, and to the residents of Quezon City and Basilan."

Naganap ang nasabing pamamaril sa loob ng campus ng ADMU dakong 2:55 ng hapon ayon sa Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Ayon sa report ng GMA News, kinumpirma ni Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Remus Medina na namatay ang isang security guard at town mayor habang apat naman ang sugatan.

Samantala, naglabas ng pahayag si Supreme Court Spokesperson Brian Keith Hosaka na ligtas si Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo matapos ang ulat tungkol sa umano’y pamamaril.

“Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo was supposed to be the guest speaker in the ADMU Law School Graduation ceremony this afternoon. He was still in transit when the shooting happened and was advised to turn back. The Chief Justice is safe,” ani Hosaka.
