“The true story behind this vlog has spread to the HCW (healthcare workers) community like wildfire and I cannot believe how you twisted the story so much to fit into your favor. Why didn't you include in your vlog how you and your husband shouted (singhag) at the Medtech for the lack of "experience" when in fact only 1 of your yaya was holding down Scottie,” pagbabahagi ng kapwa MT na si Jacque Marie Catalagan Gabayan sa isang mahabang Facebook post noong Pebrero 11.
“Even if the child's arm is locked in place by 2-3 people, he could still easily twist his arm, therefore, shifting the position of the vein. I still can't believe how your husband spoke to the MT in such a demeaning and condescending manner when the MT was a bit "slow" in drawing the blood because the MT STILL HAD TO MAKE SURE THAT THE VEIN WAS PRESENT! The MT had multiple requests of course but this is only for the comfort of the patient and I can't believe how you thought that that was unreasonable!” dagdag ni Jacque Marie.
“Your child had to be calmed down before the extraction because crying can LITERALLY alter the results (neutrophils will be falsely elevated because of the shift of marginating pools and circulating pools due to excessive crying but who am I to tell you that, right? I'm just a REGISTERED MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST,” pagpapatuloy nito.
“Us HCWs are hated enough because of the ongoing pandemic and you are adding salt to the wound by ranting online to hundreds of strangers. If you were indeed telling the truth (again, i was not present at the extraction physically) why not just take it up to the management if you had such a horrifying experience? That way the MT can get sanctioned correctly without publicly humiliating him/her and us HCWs don't get the bad rap. Again, I am sorry for what you guys went through and I'm praying for your family's safetyI just hope that you would think twice before posting online and remember your influence to your viewers,” ani Jacque Marie.
“Hi Skyfam, I deleted a segment from the vlog where I was ranting about Scottie’s blood extraction experience. I know as parents, it’s heart breaking to see our children get sick, cry, and be unable to express their pain. What I didn’t realize is that my emotional rant as a mom actually hurt not only the MT assigned to us, but the entire MT community as well. No MT goes to a blood extraction with the intention of hurting you/your child. I saw a video recently where this was explained to me point by point and why the things that happened had to happen,” sabi ni Kryz sa comment section ng vlog noong Pebrero 15.
“I realize now that “ate MT” was doing her best for the sake of Scott, and it takes a lot to have a child as your patient. I should have been more understanding. Above all, I should not have posted about it here. It was unfair of me to express my side for everyone to hear, but not offer the same for the other party,” dagdag niya.
“I have to be more sensitive when it comes to what I post on my platform. Sometimes I really do not realize the power of my words, but I will surely take this as a step in the right direction. If you are reading this, I want to offer my heartfelt apology to the entire MT community, and especially “ate MT” for everything,” pagtatapos sa pahayag ni Kryz.
