Matapos ang kanyang Pinoy Big Brother stint, nalaman ng publiko ang pagkakaroon ni Albie Casiño ng attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Sa kanyang panayam kay Toni Gonzaga, binalikan ng aktor kung kailan at paano nadiskubre ang kanyang kondisyon.
"I was going to school at Ateneo at that time. From what I remember, I couldn’t read until I was like 10. The teachers would be…magugulat sila kasi sobrang bagsak ako palagi. Cause I was shotgunning everything palagi, I wasn’t reading the question. But in oral recitations I would do so good.
"One day I got pulled out of class. They brought me to some office in Ateneo [de Manila University] with [a] bunch of other kids. They made us take some tests and stuff. And then there was [an] oral test after. And then they called parents and they were like, your son has this [ADHD] but of course, they went to get a second opinion.
"And then Ateneo advised my parents to pull me out. They said na I couldn’t take the standard of education there or something. They basically said, I would have too much of a hard time in Ateneo. That’s why I went ot La Salle for high school. Cause I wanted to prove people na I can do it."

Ayon sa isang medical website, ang ADHD ay nilalarawan bilang "ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development."
