Hindi pinanghinaan ng loob ang isang Filipino-American beauty nang sumabak ito sa Miss Connecticut USA 2021 beauty pageant nang kalbo dahil sa alopecia.

Sa Instagram, ibinahagi ni Renee Reyes na hindi niya naiuwi ang korona, pero she felt honoured dahil nakuha niya ang isang special awardsa kompetisyon.

“This was my first time competing in Miss Connecticut USA, and it won’t be my last. I am truly blessed and grateful for the opportunity to share my story and show that us alopecians can be #confidentlybeautiful,” dagdag pa niya.
