Nangako ang kampo ni Bise Presidente Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo na kukwestiyunin sa harap ng Korte Suprema (SC), na nakaupo bilang Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), ang pakikilahok ng Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) sa protesta sa halalan ni dating Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“We will file the necessary pleading po to raise our objections regarding, number one, the participation of the solicitor general and, second po, the actual merit the solicitor general has filed,” sinabi ni Atty. Emil Marnon, isa sa mga abogado ni Robredo, sa panayam ng CNN Philippines.
Nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 9, magkahiwalay na naghain ng mosyon sina Solicitor General Jose Calida at Marcos na humihiling sa PET na pigilan si Associate Justice Marvic Leonen sa paghawak ng protesta sa halalan na isinampa ng dating mambabatas laban kay Robredo.
“This is a very abnormal circumstances na hindi po dapat. It should be questioned,” ipinunto ni Maranon.

Paliwanag ng abogado, ang election protest ay isang “private suit between the vice president and Bongbong Marcos.”
“There is no government agency involved here so bakit po siya nakikisawsaw sa kaso ni vice president natin po,” tanong ni Maranon.

Sa kabilang banda, tiniyak ni Marcos na hindi siya nakipag-usap sa SolGen tungkol sa pagtatanong sa pagbabawal kay Leonen.
“We have not been in any kind of communication with the Sol Gen’s office,” sinabi ni Marcos.
Aniya, hindi niya alam kung paano nangyari na nagsampa sila ng OSG ng parehong mosyon sa parehong araw.
