NAGLAAN ng kabuuang P45 milyon ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) bilang cash incentives ng 182 national coaches na bahagi ng overall championship ng Team Philippines sa 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG).

IBINIDA ni Carissa Coscoluella, pangulo ng Equestrian Philippines Inc., ang mga nakalinyang programa para sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng mga batang riders, habang matamang nakikinig si equestrienne multi-titled Joker Arroyo (kaliwa) at TOPS president Ed Andaya sa TOPS ‘Usapang Sports’ nitong Huwebes sa NPC.

Batay sa Republic Act No. 10699 na kilala din bilang National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act, nakasaad na ang mga national coaches na nagwagi ng gintong medalya ay makakatanggap ng halagang One Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (P150,000.00), habang ang silver medal finish ay mayroong Seventy-Five Thousand Pesos (P75,000.00) at ang bronze medal finish naman ay may Thirty Thousand Pesos (P30,000.00).

“The incentives for the coaches shall be equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the cash incentives for gold, silver and bronze medalists. In case of more than one (1) coach, the cash incentives shall be divided among themselves,” bahagi ng nakapaloob sa ilalim ng nasabing batas.

Nakabase rin sa ipinasa na sertipikasyon at requirements ng national sports association ang computation ng nasabing cash incentives.

“A coach can only receive his/her incentives upon submission of required certifications and documents,” pahayag naman ni PSC-NSA Affairs Office Head Annie Ruiz.

Unang kukuha ng kanilang mga insentibo ang mga national coaches ng arnis, athletics, beach handball, billiards, bowling, boxing, cycling, dancesports, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, modern pentathlon, muay, pencak silat, rowing, sailing, sambo, sepak takraw, soft tennis, soft tennis, softball, squash, taekwondo, tennis, weightlifting, windsurfing at wrestling.

Kasunod nito ay ang mga national coaches ng archery, baseball, canoe, fencing, judo, lawn bowls, obstacle course, swimming, traditional boat race at volleyball.

Ang pondo nito ay kukunin sa National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) na bahagi ng parte na ipinagkakaloob ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), na nakasaad naman sa RA 10699.
