50.78% examinees, pasado sa Nov. 2024 Licensure Exam for Agriculturists

Impresibo ang kampanya ng Philippine B.E.S.T (Behrouz Elite Swim Team) junior squad sa napagwagihang 18 medalya, tampok ang walong ginto sa  2020 Tokyo Swimming Winter Championships nitong weekend sa St. Mary’s International School sa Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan.

Pinangunahan ni Cambodia-based Enkhmend Enkmend ang ratsada ng batang Pinoy sa napagwagihang tatlong ginto, habang kumana ng dalawa si Brendan Viñas at may tig-isang gintong medalya sina JahZeel Rosario, Dawn Martina Camacho at Ashley Anne Alvarez sa torneo na nilahukan ng may 15 club at school team.

Nanguna ang 10-anyos na si Enkhmend sa boys 9-10 class 100m Breaststroke sa tyempong isang minuto at 33.75 segundo laban kina Japanese Kenjiro Koya (1:39.34) at Sho Sendai (1:41.49).

Hataw din ang Grade 6 student ng Panyathip International School Cambodia sa 200-m Individual Medley (3:05.88) kontra Kenjiro Koya (3:10.41) at Zen Twohig (3:16.70), gayundin sa 50-m breaststroke para kompletuhin ang three-meet duel sweep kay Koya. Bunsod nito, tinanghal siyang Most Outstanding Swimmer sa boys 9-10 category.

Hataw naman si Viñas sa boys 11-12 class 100-meter Fly at 50-meter Fly bukod sa bronze medal sa 100-m Breast, habang nakopo ni Rosario, Grade 8 student sa Bristol Integrated School ang ginto sa 100-m Breaststroke boys 13-14 class (1:17.14) kontra sa kambal niyang si Jah-Leel (1:26.60) at  American Gray West (1:21.93).

Humirit si Camacho sa girls 11-12 100 Fly at nakakuha ng silver medal sa 50 Fly event, habang nanguna si Alvarez sa girls 12-13 class 200 Fly.

“It’s a huge effort on the part of our young swimmers with the strict guidance of coach Rossbenor Antay and Johnson Maulion as well as delegation head Marilet Basa. We are so very proud.’ Yun target namin talaga eh! makakuha sila ng experience, masyado pong ginalingan ang naguwi pa kami ng medalya,” pabirong pahayag ni team manager Joan Mojdeh.

Ang Philippine B.E.S.T Team ay affiliated sa Philippine Swimming Inc. (PSI) at suportado ng Behrouz Persian Cuisine, sa pakikipagtulungan ng Filipino-Japanese Community sa Tokyo na pinamumunuan ni Myles Briones-Beltran at Mama Aki Marilyn Mabansag Yokokoj ng Ihawan Shinjuku.

Ang ibang pang nagmedalya ay sina Iris justine Salagubang ( 13-14, 200-m Silver), Girls 11-12 200 Medley Relay- Silver (Ashley Alvarez, Stephanie Elumbaring, Martina Camacho, Faith Manalo), Michelle Toni Murphy ( 9-10 100 Breast- Silver, 9-10 50 Breast – Silver), Faith Manalo (11-12 100 Back – Silver, 11-12 50 Back – Bronze).
