OKAY kay Stephen Rong, ang Taiwanese actor na kasama sa iWant digital series na Taiwan That You Love na tumira sa Pilipinas kung may offer sa kanyang gumawa ng pelikula at TV show.
English at Chinese ang lenguwahe ni Stephen dahil sa Virginia, USA siya ipinanganak at lumaki.
“My parents both from Taiwan but I was born and raised in Virginia. I was a Biology Major because I want to be a dentist but in my school, there was a shooting Virginia attack (June 2019), I realized that there’s a lot of things that I wanted to do and because one of my friends was the first one to go (died). After his passing I gonna woke up and decided I wanted to try entertainment, so that’s why I flew to Taiwan by myself and just tried from scratch and find myself in artistic way.
“I started in singing competitions and flew to Hongkong for a while and do competitions there and just got disqualified really easily because I just don’t know how to sing then, but as each competition went by I got better and better.

“And after my last competition, I started getting more jobs in hosting, acting and yes it’s a learning process,” kuwento nito.
Kilalang aktor si Stephen sa Taiwan at umaming dumaan siya sa audition para sa role niyang Wei Ting sa digital series na Taiwan That You Love.
Aniya, “When I found out about it, I was super excited that it was going to be a production with the Philippines. Because I think working cross-culturally is one of the things that I’ve always wanted to do.”
Kontrabida ang karakter ni Stephen at ito ang audition piece niya na kabaligtaran ng kanyang pagkatao, “That’s not really my personality, so I had to get in touch with that bad part of me.”
Pinuri rin ng binata ang Pinoy na staff at crew, “As a Taiwanese working with many Taiwanese crews, the Filipino crew is hands down 10 times friendlier. That was the part that made me fall in love with this crew and being here is a blessing.
“I feel more open to playing around during the Filipino production. Direk Ted, he’s more like a brother, an actual brother where you can have that freedom. Without having that weird pressure that you can’t try something else or make a mistake. I think that not having that pressure helps a lot.”
Sobrang pinasalamatan din ni Stephen ang co-actors niyang sina Barbie at Paulo. “They are extremely easy to work with, really helpful.”
Ang binanggit ng Taiwanese actor ay parati siyang pinaaalalahanan ni Barbie tungkol sa pagkunot ng noo na laging pumupunta ang aktres sa likod ng kamera para imuwestra na nakakunot na naman ang noo niya.
Bumalik na ng Taiwan si Stephen kahapon at nangakong babalik ng Pilipinas para magbakasyon at malibot ang magagandang tanawin sa bansa.
