SINAGOT ni Kris Aquino ang basher na nag-comment ng, “Mag-retire ka na, I don’t think you can beat Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Maine Mendoza Vic Sotto this year, so save your horror career.”
Sagot ni Kris: “@paulasyjuco I also know there’s no way to beat or even equal them. Nakaapak naman sa lupa ang paa ko. Pero hindi masama ang hangarin na mabawi ang puhunan at gumawa ng movie na may ‘tapang’ ang kuwento.
“Paula, clearly underdog ako, I have had no regular free TV exposure for almost four years, unlike Bossing, Maine, Anne, and Vice. So hindi ganu’n kataas ang expectations, in essence less pressure. I saw the movie budget, feasible siya from a business perspective. Straight and real talk, hindi ko talaga in-expect to be chosen. Why? Kasi may entry si Robin Padilla na horror. And mayroon ang Ten17 productions ni Direk Paul Soriano. Why would a festival under MMDA choose a movie starring Kris Aquino, right?

“Alam na alam kong hindi namin panahon ngayon but maybe Senator Bong Go who is in the executive committee is really a man who plays fair and looks beyond politics. Gaya ng ipinangako, hindi napikon si Kris sa comment ng basher dahil sinabi na nito sa simula pa lang ng kanyang post na hindi siya mapipikon sa mga tanong sa kanya patungkol sa gagawin niyang MMFF entry ng Quantum Films, ang (K)Ampon.
Health reasons ang ibinigay na dahilan ni Kris na baka hindi niya magawa ang movie, unless payagan siya ng kanyang mga doktor. Susundin niya ang kanyang mga doktor dahil importante sa kanya na healthy siya for her kids.
Pero, nabanggit din ni Kris na kung gagawin niya ang (K)Ampon, ang isa sa mga rason ay ang anak na si Bimby.
“Bimb was too young to appreciate Feng Shui in 2014. Kaya ko gustong gawin ito, I want my bunso to see his mama in the genre she loves most - it’s been a tough year for him. There’s this part of me na gustong matapos ang taon na nakita niyang after all the trials (name it, dinaanan namin), okay ang mama niya. Not sure if another opportunity will come our way, and as much as gusto ko ‘to, for me, mas gusto ko ‘to for my sons to be reassured na hindi sumuko ang mama nila. Baka mahirap maintindihan, but those na lumaki with just one parent will understand.”
Nabanggit ni Kris na sa July 30 ay aalis sila nina Josh at Bimby at one month sila sa Hawaii. So buong August wala si Kris, kung tatanggapin ang MMFF entry, paano siya makakapag-shooting?
