Nilinaw ngayong Lunes ng Malacañang na walang nangyaring krisis sa tubig sa Metro Manila.
Ito ang reaksiyon ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo matapos ibalik ng Manila Water ang supply ng tubig sa mga customer nito.
Aniya, nagkaroon lang ng water interruptions sa malaking bahagi ng National Capital Region nitong nakaraang linggo at isinisi niya ito sa nasabing water concessionaire at sa Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).
"That's my problem with the water crisis, you see, the President did not direct the directive to do that, then said that the MWSS administrator was not doing it yet, and it's now 90 percent,” ani Panelo.
“That means there really was no crisis, there was only mismanagement,” dagdag niya.
Hindi sana, aniya, magkakaroon ng pagkakaantala ng supply ng tubig kung naging mahusay sana sa pamamalakad ang MWSS at Manila Water.
“We have almost 90 percent, but we can not do it. We have almost 90 percent in other words, it can be done. That's what we said it looks like there was really no shortage. It's pure inefficiency, mismanagement on the part of Manila Water and also I've been watching the hearing, it appears now that even the chief regulator, the regulator of the two water concessionaires is guilty of mismanagement,” paliwanag pa ni Panelo.
