Babaklasin ng mga pulis ang mga campaign posters at advertisements na ikinabit o nakaimprenta sa mga pasilidad at kagamitan ng gobyerno.

Sinabi ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde na inatasan na niya ang lahat ng police regional directors “[to] take down all election campaign materials in government offices and facilities.”

Kabilang sa mga nasabing election campaign ads ang mga billboards, tarpaulins, posters, streamers, banners, at iba pang tulad ng mga ito.

“The PNP is duty bound to ensure a level playing field for honest, orderly and peaceful elections in May as an apolitical and non-partisan deputized agency of the Commission on Elections (Comelec),” saad sa pahayag ni Albayalde nitong Lunes.

“To be more emphatic about the strictly apolitical stand of the PNP, I am serving notice to all police personnel to remain steadfast along this command policy with due regard to existing rules and regulations that prohibit personnel from engaging in partisan political activity,” aniya.

Nagbabala naman si Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo M. Año sa mga alkalde na papanagutin ang mga ito sa pagpapahintulot na kabitan ng mga campaign posters at ads ang mga kagamitan at pasilidad ng pamahalaan.

“We will not allow candidates to use government properties as a platform for their election campaign. It’s clearly prohibited. Government buildings, properties, vehicles, and equipment are for official use only and may not be used as venues or tools for partisan political activity,” ani Año.

Kaugnay nito, sinabi ni Albayalde na magpapakalat ang PNP ng 181,774 pulis para tiyakin ang seguridad sa eleksiyon sa M ayo 13.
