“Whenever people bump into a celebrity and he or she happens to have gained weight, some will say ‘Is that (insert celebrities name)? Wasn’t she sexy before? Look how fat she is now,’” lahad ng Tacloban City mayor.

Aniya pa, sobrang mapanlait ng ilang netizen.

Blind Item

“So, celebrities are more conscious now because your photos stay forever on the web. Then people will bash you, ‘Oh she’s so fat! She’s too old!’”

Binigyang-diin niya: “We’ll all age. Just do what you can because it’s also our duty to be healthy and age gracefully, especially for us women.”

BEAUTY TIPS

“You know me, I’m really just simple,” natatawang sabi niya. “I’m not ‘high maintenance’ I just usually blow dry my hair and that’s it.”

“I try to be relaxed even when I’m under pressure as we need to do that especially at my age. I do treadmill at home, I sometimes walk, and I play badminton when I have time,” dagdag pa niya.

“I believe in that naman. Why not, right? There’s a lot high-tech procedures right now to help maintain your beauty. I don’t wanna be pretentious, denying I don’t believe in those stuffs,” sabi ni Cristina.

BASHERS: BOO!

Sabi nga ni Cristina, bashers are unstoppable. Bakit?

“People tend to have an initial impression of ‘She’s not even a graduate of a political-related course! She’s just an actress, what does she know?’” sabi niya. “Maybe that’s why when you’re from showbiz and you enter politics, you tend to double, triple and quadruple your efforts in serving the people.”

“If it is a challenging role, maybe? But I don’t have time right now. In the past, especially when I got into politics, it’s hard to fly in and out of Manila to shoot and of course you have to shoot for 24 hours (sometimes) and go out of town,” sabi ni Cristina.
