PUNONG-ABALA ang Tagaytay City sa pagdaraos ng Asian Universities Chess Championship sa Mayo 26 hanggang Hunyo 2, 2018 na gaganapin sa Tagaytay International Convention Center (TICC) sa Tagaytay City.

Ang Round 1 ay nakatakda sa Mayo 27 habang ang Technical Meeting ay sa Mayo 26.

Ayon kay World Chess Federation (FIDE) Secretary-General at Cavite 7th District Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino Jr., na siya ding National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) secretary-general ng Asian Universities Chess Championship, bukas sa lahat ng affiliated National Chess Federation of the Philippines of Asia sa Zones 3.1 hanggang 3.7 ng FIDE.

“The City of Tagaytay under the auspices of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines, Asian Chess Federation and FIDE have the honor to invite all National Chess Federation of the Philippines in Asia to participate in the Asian Universities Chess Championship,” sabi ni Rep. Tolentino.

Ani pa Rep. Tolentino ang events na paglalabanan ay ang Men’s Individual Event, Women’s Individual Event, Men’s Team Event, Women’s Team Event, Junior Individual Event at Junior Team Event.

Ang Asian Universities Championship ay bukas sa lahat ng manlalaro na nakarehistro sa kanilang national federation. Kung saan ang manlalaro ay edad 27 at pababa (born on or after January 1, 1991). Junior players ay edad 18 at pababa (born on or after January 1, 2000).

“Each federation may send as Many University teams and one national student team. For a University team, all the players must come from the same University. Teams shall be composed of 3 or 4 men, 3 or 4 women players and 3 or 4 junior players. Each federation may enter as many players as they wish for the individual championship,” sabi ng organizing committee.

“Players should be students registered for 2018 towards as degree or diploma at aUniversity or similar institute whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority of their country and certified by the University Registrar. Individual registration fee for the Asian Universities Chess Championship is $100 per person. Entry fee to Asian Chess Federation is $25 per player for a total of $125 per individual. The entry fee per team is $150. Deadline for registration is April 25, 2018. After that date, a late registration fee of $50 per person shall apply. All payments should be made to the Organizing committee,” anila.
