OPISYAL na co-owner si Demi Lovato ng CAST Centers, isang mental health facility sa Los Angeles.

Ginamit ng 23-year-old pop singer ang Twitter noong Huwebes para ibunyag ang balita.

“CAST Centers has played an extremely important role in my life + health,” saad ni Lovato, na naging pasyente sa facility noong 2013. “Proud to announce my partnership with them.”

“CAST was my home while I was in recovery and over the past several years, I have stayed close to the staff and to Mike Bayer, (Founder and CEO, CAST Centers) and have seen their passion and tireless efforts firsthand, not only through my own treatment, but with others as well,” sabi ni Lovato sa isang pahayag. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to become a partner in a business that I have such close ties to, and to continue to raise awareness around mental health.”

Regine, 'di na kering makipagsabayan sa mga batang singer: 'It's no longer my time'

Sa interview sa CBS Sunday Morning, ibinunyag ng Cool for the Summer singer na nagdesisyon siyang makisosyo sa organisasyon dahil “it just feels good.”

Inamin din ni Lovato na noong nagpapagamot siya sa treatment center, na tumulong sa kanya para magpagaling siya sa depression, bulimia at substance abuse, hindi siya matatawag bilang modelong pasyente.

“I mean, I was a nightmare,” aniya. “I would say the word that I want to say, but it’s so inappropriate that I can’t.”

“It sounds ridiculous, but I kind of made a pact with God,” dagdag niya. “And I don’t even think you’re supposed to do that, but I promised, ‘If You make me a singer one day, I’m going to use my voice for so much more than singing, and I’m going to help people with it.’”

“And because of that,” ani Lovato, “I’m sitting here right now, alive and more successful than I’ve ever been.” - Entertainment Tonight
