Pinasalamatan ni House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. ang Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) dahil sa patuloy na pagtulong sa bansa para matamo ang kapayapaan sa buong Mindanao.
Ipinahayag ni Belmonte ang pasasalamat nang dumalaw sa Kamara si JICA President Dr. Shinichi Kitaoka.
“Among all of the aid agencies that have operated in the Philippines, I thought JICA is one of the most effective, and it helps without strings attached. So I’m really glad that although you’re a non-Muslim country, you’ve taken great interest in Mindanao because peace has been a lingering problem there since the Spanish time,” sinabi ni Belmonte kay Kitaoka.
“There is least development there (Mindanao) in every way—in terms of income, education, and prospects for the future. And yet, these areas are with rich potentials as well,” ani Belmonte. (Bert de Guzman)
