“My new chief trainer Dewey Cooper showed me a new technique to develop more power. It was a move to turn my hips more and drive in the power. I felt strong walking to the ring,” sabi ni Vargas sa Fightnews.com. “It burns me how my last fight against Bradley went down. It was wrong. But Top Rank got me a title fight and I trained hard with a new team. I only want one fight which I deserve to get, a rematch with Bradley. I don’t care if he beats Pacquiao or not, I want Bradley.”

Goodbye PBA? John Amores, tinanggalan na ng professional license!

“Maybe we’ll wait for the Bradley fight so see if we can put him (Vargas) in there with the winner of Bradley-Pacquiao,” sabi ni Arum. “It’s up to the winner of the fight but it’s definitely the fight I want to make, Vargas vs the winner of Pacquiao-Bradley.”

“This was the best performance of his career,” paglalarawan ni Arum sa performance ni Vargas. “We always knew he had this in him. I think he had a great training camp and it showed in his performance. We knew he had punching power but he could never let his hands go. You seen it in the last round of the Bradley fight that his power was there and you saw it tonight.”

“Trainer deserves tremendous credit. We saw what they were doing in the training camp, they had great chemistry and we knew based off that we felt he was going to put on a performance,” dagdag ni Arum na tumangging ireto si Vargas kay WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford. “I got other paths for Crawford.” (Gilbert Espeña)
