INIUWI nina Sarah Geronimo, Yeng Constantino, at Darren Espanto ang top honors sa 28th Awit Awards na ginanap kamakailan sa Music Museum.

Nakamit ni Sarah ang Album of the Year para sa Perfectly Imperfect, samantalang iniuwi naman ni Yeng ang Song of the Year para sa awiting Ikaw.

Napanalunan ng runner-up ng The Voice Kids season one na si Darren ang dalawang awards na Best Album Package at Best Performance by a New Male Recording Artist.

Ang ika-20 anniversary theme song naman ng The Filipino Channel (TFC) na Ipagpatuloy Mo, Galing ng Pilipino na nagbibigay-pugay sa kakaibang talento at galing ng bawat Pilipino saan man sa mundo, ay nanalo sa dalawang kategorya: Best Inspirational / Religious Recording at Best Song Written for Movie/TV/Stage Play. Ang theme song, na inawit ni Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, ay komposisyon ni Jonathan Manalo ng Star Music, may dagdag na lyrics mula sa ABS-CBN Global Head of Marketing Services Pam Castillo at Marketing Communications Creative Director Jay Santiago at saliw sa musika ni Gab Valenciano.

Ang iba pang big winners ay ang Pupil sa iniuwing Music Video of the Year award, nakuha naman ni Abra ang Best Rap Recording, at nakamit nina Kyla at Jungee Marcelo ang Best Rock/ Alternative Recording para sa kanilang single na Salbabida.

Ang Awit Awards, na taun-taon ginaganap, ay nagbibigay parangal sa mga Pilipinong performing artists at ang mga tao sa likod ng mga Filipino recorded music.
