Ilalahad ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Richie Garcia sa local sports community ang top achievers ng 2014 na pararangalan ng pinakamatandang media organization sa bansa sa nasabing formal rite.

Ito ang magmamarka sa unang pagkakataon na si Garcia ang magiging keynote speaker sa taunang okasyon simula nang pangalanan ito upang maging pinuno ng government sports agency sa bansa noong 2010.

Dating national golfer at PSC commissioner, nagsilbi rin si Garcia bilang Chef De Mission ng Philippine delegation na sumabak sa Asian Games sa Incheon, South Korea, kung saan ang nag-iisang gintong medalya ay napasakamay ni BMX rider Daniel Caluag, na gagawaran naman ng prestihiyosong Athlete of the Year sa nasabing event na kaakibat ng Meralco, Smart, at MVP Sports Foundation bilang principal sponsors at Philippine Sports Commission bilang major sponsor.
