Iginiit ni Department of Labor (DoLE) Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz ang kanyang panawagan sa kabataang naghahanap ng trabaho na mula 18-24 taong gulang, na hindi nagtatrabaho o may karanasan sa trabaho ng wala pang isang taon; hindi naka-enroll sa isang educational o training program, o nakumpleto ang high school education o higit pa, na pakinabangan ang oportunidad na iniaalok ng JobStart Philippines.

“Full-cycle employment facilitation includes enhanced career assessment and guidance, life skills training, technical skills training, and internship which are the major building blocks in preparing young people for productive employment. JobStart Philippines offers exactly this ‘full-cycle’ employment facilitation services,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Ang JobStart Program ay bahagi ng Technical Assistance Program on Employment Facilitation for Inclusive Growth (EFIG), isang synergy ng DoLE, Asian Development Bank (ADB), at ng pamahalaan ng Canada na naglalayong makagawa ng paraan para sa mga kinakailangang reporma upang makasabay sa pangangailangan ng pandaigdigang ekonomiya.

Sa ulat ni Arvin Yana, Communications Specialist for the JobStart Program ng ADB, sa ngayon ay may kabuuang 3,377 kabataang naghahanap ng trabaho na nag-aagawan sa 1,600 slots sa ilalim ng programa. - Mina Navarro
