Ibinasura ng Supreme Court (SC) ang petisyon ng nakakulong na kontraktor na si Sarah Discaya hinggil sa findings ng Ombudsman.

Batay sa dokumentong inilabas ng SC nitong Biyernes, Abril 10, 2026, iginiit nitong sapat ang mga ebidensya ng Ombudsman upang mapagtibay ang kasong kinahaharap ni Discaya.

"The SC dismissed the petition for certiorari filed by Cezarah Rowena C. Discaya (Discaya) challenging the Office of the Ombudsman’s finding of probable cause against her for violation of Section 3(e) of Republic Act No. 3019, or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, and malversation through falsification of public documents," anang SC.

Saad pa nito, "The SC ruled that the petition had become moot after the Ombudsman filed the corresponding Informations against Discaya with the Regional Trial Court, which subsequently issued a warrant of arrest."

Matatandaang una nang kinuwestiyon ng kampo ng mga Disycaya ang findings ng Office of the Ombudsman na may probable cause laban sa kaniya dahil sa paglabag sa Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, at malversation through falsification of public documents.

Pagdidiin pa ng SC, "The SC further noted that the Ombudsman's findings were supported by substantial evidence."

Matatandaang noong Oktubre 2025 nang sumuko sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) si Discaya matapos ang mga construction firm niya sa maanomalyang flood control projects.

Habang noong Enero 2026 nang maghain ng not guilty plea si Discaya kasama ang 9 na iba pa sa Korte kaugnay sa umano’y aabot na ₱96.5 milyong halaga ng “ghost” projects sa Davao Occidental.

Sa parehong pagdinig ding ito, naghain umano ng not guilty plea ang mga nasasakdal laban sa mga kasong graft at malversation of public funds na kinakaharap nila kaugnay sa nasabing anomalya ng flood control projects.

Sa kabila nito, ibinasura umano ni Lapu-Lapu City RTC Branch 27 Judge Nelson Leyco ang hinaing Motion to quash ng kampo ni Discaya at iba pa.
