Matapang na nagkomento ang Koalisyong Makabayan hinggil sa anunsyo ni Vice President Sara Duterte na siya ay tatakbo sa pagkapresidente sa Halalan 2028.

Sa isang Facebook post na ibinahagi nila nitong Miyerkules, Pebrero 18, sinabi ng Makabayan bloc na ang deklarasyon ni VP Sara ay isang desperadong pagsubok na kontrolin ang naratibo at sabihing siya ay isa ring biktima.

“The Makabayan bloc hits Vice President Sara Duterte's announcement that she will run for president in 2028 as a cynical and desperate attempt to control the narrative, portray herself as a victim of political persecution, and shield herself from accountability for serious allegations of corruption, misuse of confidential funds, and betrayal of public trust,” saad ng Makabayan bloc.

Giit pa nila, “Vice President Duterte's premature declaration—more than two years before the 2028 elections—is not about serving the Filipino people. It is about framing the impeachment proceedings as purely political harassment rather than what they truly are: a constitutional process to hold an impeachable official accountable for grave offenses.”

Panawagan ngayon nila sa Pangalawang Pangulo, huwag nitong linlangin ang taumbayan.

“Huwag nyang linlangin ang mamamayan, Madam Vice President. Ang impeachment laban sa inyo ay hindi pulitika—ito ay tungkol sa pananagutan. This is about millions of pesos in confidential funds you cannot account for. This is about allegations that you received funding from POGO operators and drug dealers for your campaign. This is about whistleblowers from your own security group linking you to criminal activities,” anila.

Ayon pa sa kanila, ang pag-anunsyong ito ay isa umanong paraan upang i-”weaponize” ang kaniyang kampanya bilang isang proteksyon laban sa pananagutan.

Dagdag pa nila, tila isa umano itong “classic authoritarian playbook.”

Nanindigan din ang Makabayan na unahin ang pananagutan at katotohanan, bago isipin ang susunod na eleksyon.

“Accountability first. Justice first. The truth first. Then, and only then, can we talk about 2028,” pagtatapos nila.

Matatandaang inanunsyo ni VP Sara nito ring Huwebes, Pebrero 18, ang kaniyang interes na tumakbo bilang susunod na Pangulo ng Pilipinas.

“Ako si Sara Duterte, tatakbo bilang Pangulo ng Pilipinas,” ani VP Sara.
