Nagbigay ng paalala sa publiko ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) kaugnay sa umano’y paggamit sa pangalan ni AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. sa isang YouTube channel.
Sa ibinahaging social media post ng AFP noong Martes, Disyembre 23, gumagawa umano ang channel ng mga “misleading” contents.
“DEEPFAKE ALERT | The AFP warns the public against a fake YouTube channel impersonating AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. through highly deceptive, AI-generated videos,” saad ng AFP.
Dagdag pa nila, “These contents are unauthorized, digitally manipulated, and intended to mislead.”
Mariing kinokondena ng ahensya ang anila’y malisyosong paggamit nito ng Artificial Intelligence (AI) upang lansiin ang publiko, at nagpaalala na mas maging mapagmatyag sa mga ganitong klase ng panloloko.
“The AFP strongly condemns the malicious use of AI to undermine public trust, warning perpetrators and purveyors of deepfakes that the long arms of the law will soon catch up with them,” anang AFP.
“The public is urged to stay vigilant and rely only on official AFP channels,” pagtatapos nila.
