Tinawag ng Rainbow Rights Philippines na "problematic policy" ang handog na libreng sakay ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) para sa mga miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ community.

Sa Facebook post ng Rainbow Rights noong Linggo, Disyembre 21, 2025, iginiit nilang problemado ang ikinasang polisiya ng DOTr para sa naturang libreng sakay at nagpasalamat din sa "visibility" na ibinigay ng ahensya sa kanilang komunidad.

"First things first, the policy is problematic and unaligned with full inclusivity which the LGBTQIA+ community is championing. But still, thank you for the visibility and for having a 'no questions asked' policy," saad ng Rainbow Rights.

Saad pa nila, "Since the DOTR seems unable to speak the language of inclusivity and human rights, we will utter the words for them: To the commuting public, and even to those thinking of claiming the identity for a free ride, the LGBTQIA+ community welcomes you.

Tahasan ding iginiit ng Rainbow Rights Philippines na hindi raw kailangan ng kanilang komunidad ng isang batas na magpoprotekta laban sa diskriminasyon. Bagkus, ay kabaliktaran daw dapat ang ginagawa.

"For the past 25 years, we have been told, NO. We do not deserve a national law to protect us from discrimination. We shall do the opposite of what has been done to us.," anila.

Kaya naman inimbitahan nila ang lahat na makiisa sa pagtamasa ng naturang libreng sakay.

"We invite everyone in, even just for a free train ride."

Iginiit nilang ito na rin daw ang paraan para maisip ng ilan ang pakikibaka ng miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ community sa public spaces.

Sad nila, "So go ahead, take the ride. But while you're at it, maybe think about the journey the LGBTQIA+ community takes every other day of the year—a journey where we often pay a much higher price just to exist safely in public spaces."
